    TRIP's Virtual Landlord Training via Zoom: July 2022

    Virtual Landlord Training via Zoom: This two-part certification series costs $20 and you must attend both sessions to receive certification. The class is perfect for new and prospective landlords as well as experienced landlords. Part 1 will cover: Finding and Keeping Good Tenants; How to prepare your home to be rented out: NYS standardized lease, Marketing, Renters insurance/flood insurance, Homeowners Associations (HOAs); Community groups; Troy Community Police & Programs; and Section 8 Tenant Subsidies. Part 2 will cover: Lead Paint Issues & Resources; Energy Efficiency Resources for Landlords; and Updates on State Laws & Eviction and Alternatives to Eviction.

    Thinking about buying your first home? We can help! Join us for our Homebuyers Education. (You must be present for the whole class to get credit.) Back LIVE in person at TRIP's Homeownership Center 409 River Street TRIP's Homeownership Center is a non-profit housing agency dedicated to educating and empowering consumers about what to expect, and most importantly what COSTS to expect, when buying a home. Homebuyer Education program provides all the information needed to learn about costs to expect out of pocket; steps in the homebuying process; what to look for in buying a home; shopping for mortgage products plus roles of different professionals, and more! You must complete entire course and at least 1 appointment to receive Certificate of Completion Learn all about the homebuying process! What to look for in buying a home, different mortgage products, roles of different professionals, and more. *New clients SHOULD attend Homebuyer Orientation and meet with TRIP first.
